泰斗[ tài dǒu ]

⒈ 泰山北斗，比喻德高望重或有卓越成就而为众人所敬仰的人。例学者仰之如泰山、北斗。——《新唐书·韩愈传赞》京剧泰斗。英leading scholar of the times;
