监禁[ jiān jìn ]

⒈ 监押犯人，禁止其行动自由。

引《水浒传》第三十回：“牢子将过长枷，把 武松 枷了，押下死囚牢里监禁了。”《红楼梦》第八六回：“吩咐画供，将 薛蟠 监禁候详。”郭沫若 《我的童年》第二篇五：“虽然只有三学期，但就好像受了三十年的监禁。”
