Furthermore, a suitable mediator is lacking: some smaller nations are willing to intervene, but the businessman dismisses them as insignificant; China and Russia are willing to mediate, yet the businessman finds it beneath his dignity to accept. The Western allies of the businessman are currently observing from a distance, with none willing to act as mediator. That the businessman has maneuvered himself into this predicament is truly remarkable.
