At present, the blockbuster exhibition "Prosperous Symphony: Masterpieces from Glasgow Museums" is on view. It marks a significant showcase of Glasgow Museums' Italian art treasures in China. Spanning the 14th to 19th centuries, the exhibition features nearly 70 rare works covering six categories: painting, sculpture, ceramics, glass, arms, and textiles, systematically tracing the stylistic evolution of Italian art over the centuries.
The exhibition boasts a remarkable lineup of masterpieces, including Titian's early work Christ and the Adulteress (《基督救赎妇人》), Giovanni Bellini's The Virgin and Child (《圣母子》), and Tintoretto's The Ordeal of Tuccia (《图西亚的考验》). These original works are displayed alongside first-class cultural relics from the Guangdong Museum, creating a cross-cultural artistic dialogue between East and West.
Beyond the unmissable exhibition, the museum has also curated three other themed night events for this summer holiday — "Kapok Night", "Natural Science Night", and "Innovative Experience Night"— offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience the museum after dark.
